QEST Wool Blanket 2020
This limited edition blanket features an enlarged scale of the new Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Fund (QEST) tartan, designed by Kinloch Anderson to celebrate the Fund’s 30th anniversary and the 180th anniversary of the Royal Warrant Holders Association.
In a collaboration between two of Scotland’s oldest family businesses, we manufactured a limited run of these 100% wool blankets. The setting, or pattern, reflects the Royal Warrant Holders Association Tartan, which is based on the Stewart Tartan - widely worn by the Royal Family and part of their heritage.
Proceeds from the sale of this new tartan will be donated to QEST, a charity dedicated to excellence in British craftsmanship, for which HRH The Duke of Rothesay is Patron. For decades, HRH has worked tirelessly, championing the benefits of wool from its renewable to biodegradable properties. He is also Patron for the Campaign for Wool, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Our Chairman, Jenny Urquhart presented one of our QEST blankets to The Duke of Rothesay during this year’s Wool Week.
