  • Johnstons of Elgin at London Fashion Week Johnstons of Elgin at London Fashion Week

  • In the stunning surroundings of the Palm Court at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel we hosted our first Spring Summer presentation - a year-round collection of new and cutting-edge lightweight fabrics.

  • Under the care of our Creative Director Alan Scott, 15 womenswear and 5 menswear looks showcased our lightweight textiles and knit innovations in cashmere silk and cotton to an international audience. The collection, inspired by the island of Ischia, explores three concepts to take you stylishly through the Spring and Summer months.

Bringing a languid air to the collection, impossibly light, tissue weight cashmere and mesh constructions feel barely there against the skin on the hot days of high summer.

Johnstons of Elgin merino wool products are suitable for every climate. Our products crafted in fine merino wool have an exceptional handle, drape and ability to follow the form of the wearer.

Our pioneering, never woven before, cotton merino double face fabrics lend themselves beautifully to light and easy outerwear pieces, perfect for the chill of early Spring.

  • These pieces set new benchmarks for craftmanship and cooling comfort in a colour palette of pastels, hot pinks, lemon and electric blue set against cool neutrals providing contrast and depth. Every fabric used in the SS19 collection is unique to us, and is of course woven and knitted in our mills in Scotland.

  • "It is an honour to return to London Fashion Week for a second season," says Scott, our Creative Director. "This unique collection, lovingly made in Scotland, retains our signatures of textile expertise, craft and tailoring for which we have become world renowned, whilst showing the fashion world - for the very first time - that the brand is for all seasons."
