Our mill in Elgin is the only textile mill in Scotland to transform raw cashmere in to finished articles. Take a free guided Mill Tour of the manufacture process including the dyeing, carding, spinning and weaving of raw fibres. Explore Johnstons of Elgin’s history in our Visitor Centre which situated in the beautiful Courtyard building, adjacent to the Mill Shop, and where you will also discover our coveted home interiors and fabric ranges. Browse our collection of cashmere knitwear and accessories, fine woollens and tweeds for men, women and children which you can purchase direct from our 5 star visitor attraction. Across the two floors of our main mill shop you will find our products sitting seamlessly alongside pieces from Barbour, Hackett, Two Danes, Masai, Joules, Aigle, Meyer, Nomads, Creenstone, Mayoral, Pigeon Organics & Fairfax & Favor.

Mill Tours
Experience for yourself as cashmere is dyed, teased, carded, spun, and hand finished by the latest generation of our Elgin craftspeople.
Mill Tours are available at the following times*:
Monday - Saturday
10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00noon, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm
Sunday
10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00noon, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm
*Please note that areas of our Mill do not operate from Friday afternoon through to Sunday evening. Guided tours still take place, however you may not see all processes in action
Our mill tours are conducted by experienced guides and we can cater for more specific needs, given a little advance notice. A written script of our mill tour is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, and Russian.

Lossie Seafoods Ltd
For three generations Lossie Seafoods Ltd has been producing quality seafood products. Operating from a modern factory in Buckie, on the shores of the Moray Firth, they have award winning Scottish oak smoked salmon which is sought after all over the world. Here at Johnstons of Elgin we are one of the selected few to stock and use this in our menu.
Lossie Fish Shop
Established in 1973, Lossie Fish Shop source their products from Buckie, Fraserburgh & Peterhead. All of their fish is smoked in Lossiemouth.
Royan's
The Royan family run butcher was established in 1850 and has passed through three generations. They pride themselves on using only Scottish and local produce.
McLeans Highland Bakery
Four generations of McLeans have been Scottish master bakers. They use local and natural ingredients to produce some of the best bread in Moray.
Speyfruit
Established in 2000, Speyfruit produce excellent high quality fruit & vegetables. They work alongside local farmers to ensure they have the highest quality & freshest produce that Moray can offer.
