Johnstons of Elgin Hawick Mill Shop

Our bright, spacious Hawick store showcases our womenswear, menswear, accessories, childrenswear and home interior collections.

Our Coffee Shop, accredited with Visit Scotland’s ‘Taste Our Best’ quality mark, offers home baking and local produce, from fresh, seasonal salads to homemade soup. At least 40% of our menu is made with Scottish produce.

Personal Shopping Service

Mill Tours

Tours of our historic knitting mill are available. Please contact the mill directly for more information or to book a tour.

Tour the mill

Watch for yourself as the cashmere is dyed, teased, carded, spun and hand finished by the latest generation of Elgin craftsmen. At our Hawick mill you can see our expert craftsmanship first hand, following the production of our knitted products.

At certain times of the year our Elgin and Hawick mill's close for necessary holiday & maintenance periods. To avoid disappointment please complete a Mill Tour Booking Form in advance. If you have any questions regarding the mill tour you can email us at milltours@johnstonsofelgin.com.

Other times may be available by prior arrangement.

*Please note that areas of our Mill do not operate from Friday afternoon through to Sunday evening.

Our mill tours are conducted by experienced guides and we can cater for more specific needs, given a little advance notice. A written script of our mill tour is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, and Russian.

We are currently limiting tour groups to 4 people or less, and request that face coverings be worn when on the tour.
